Gaining a sense of accomplishment

What exactly is the sense of accomplishment that people talk about?

There are two parts to it, first It is the feeling where you cross the finish line, having completed a goal and second, feeling proud of the effort you have put in to get there.

When you feel a sense of accomplishment, you experience not only satisfaction and happiness, but also you simply feel better about yourself and what you do – it improves confidence and self-esteem. All of us have some point in time felt this before whether it is studying hard in school to get your desired grade or picking up a new skill.
